Restaurant Industry Mourns Viola Barrios
Members of the Texas Restaurant Association express shock and sadness at the news of the sensless tragedy of Viola Barrios' death. Mrs. Barrios, the matriarch of the "Los Barrios restaurants" in San Antonio, was an outstanding example of the best of the restaurant industry. In recognition of her remarkable contribution to the industry, the association and the community, Mrs. Barrios was selected to be inducted into the Texas Restaurant Association Hall of Honor in June 2008. The Hall of Honor is the highest recognition that a restaurateur can achieve.
